Local Area – Wrington, Lower Langford and Churchill

Our 250-year-old farm is surrounded by 250 acres of countryside in the midst of picturesque North Somerset.

We sit right between the villages of Lower Langford and Wrington – which both have a rich history and the usual services you'd expect in small country villages. We have our own on-site Beauty Salon which is open to all our guests and offers a range of treatments.

Wrington is the birthplace of philosopher John Locke, and writer and philanthropist Hannah More is buried in the churchyard at All Saints Church. There are several small shops, as well as a Post Office and The Golden Lion and The Plough pubs.

Wrington is the home of Warm Glass, which offers courses in glass fusion and glass art. For further information, please visit their website at warm-glass.co.uk.

To the south lies Lower Langford and it's own hostelry, The Langford Inn. There are several pubs and restaurants further down the A38 in nearby Churchill.

If you're looking for access to the countryside then our land is criss-crossed with walks with stunning views available nearby at Burrington Coombe and Dolebury Warren on the northern edge of the Mendip Hills.

Meanwhile, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, The Somerset Coast and Wookey Hole are easy drives from Lower Stock. Further information is available on visitsomerset.co.uk.

The National Trust's Tyntesfield House is also within easy reach while the likes of Bath, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare are all within 20 to 30 minutes drive from our doorstep.
